Here are details of  several arrangements for two flutes and piano, recently published.

These are:-

  • J S Bach – Air (the famous one from the Suite in D)
  • George Botsford’s – Black and White Rag, used to great effect inthe Pot Black snooker TV series
  • Bucalossi’s Grasshoppers’ Dance, again used imaginatively on TV, this time for a milk delivery advert featuring dancing bottles
  • Fauré – Sicillienne from Pelleas et Melisande, already known to most flautists in a version for one flute and piano
  • Franck – Panis Angelicus, now probably best known for the duet sung by Pavarotti and his Dad in Bologna Cathedtral and
  • Saint-Saëns The Swan from his Carnival of the Animals.

In addition there is a lovely version for Flute, Guitar and Piano of Elgar’s Salut d’Amour.
